Part 1 of my conversation with Aaron Dickey and Craig Holiday Haynes.

Aaron Dickey is Kentucky born and raised, at the age of a good bourbon, left to attend Washington University in St. Louis at 18. Thirty years later, St. Louis is not only his home, it is headquarters to the Dickey Law Firm. As a 20-years practicing attorney, Aaron is a champion of working people with occupational related cancers and other injuries. Tonight school is in session as we learn the ins, outs (and a few surprises) about Whiskey, Jazz and Leadership and I sip on Old Weller Antique 107.

Aaron surprises me with an on-air call with jazz and drumming legend Craig Holiday Haynes. His middle name being a reverence to the late, great Billie Holiday - is the son of legendary jazz drummer Roy Haynes and for the past few decades he has been the drummer of the Sun Ra Arkestra - one of the most influential, groundbreaking jazz bands in the world.
